Former school bus driver from Hesperia sentenced to more than 6 years in prison in child pornography case

A former school bus driver from Hesperia was sentenced Monday to more than six years in prison for possessing child pornography, the Department of Justice announced.

Donal James Seaver, 49, was employed as a school bus driver by the company First Student, Inc., where he drove a route that included 10 elementary schools with special-needs children, according to the DOJ.

The names of the schools in Seaver’s bus route and the dates of his employment as a school bus driver were not immediately disclosed.

In March 2024, federal and local law enforcement officials executed a search warrant and seized four digital devices from Seaver’s home. Three of those four devices contained child pornography.
