Xavier Prep is certainly among the most intriguing high school football teams in the Coachella Valley in 2025 — at least after Friday's 46-14 win at Linfield Christian in Temecula.

The Saints have size at the skill positions, enough depth on the offensive and defensive lines that, at least for now, no one is playing both ways, and they have a handful of new faces who have already started to make a name for themselves.

Among the new faces are Javon Taylor, a 6-foot-2 junior who transferred from Oak Hills, and his twin brother Lashon. Javin Taylor recorded four sacks in Friday's game and Lashon Taylor finished with double-digit tackles for a defense that allowed just one touchdown, scored a touchdown and recorded a pair of safeties.
