Trumbull County Family Court is rolling out a new set of self-help videos and instructional guides, aiming to walk viewers through the common steps in family law cases.

The videos available include how to fill out court documents and what to expect during hearings. They are designed to break down the legal process into simple language to provide free education about the legal system.

Judge David Engler, who announced the effort in a Monday news release, said the goal is to take fear out of the legal process for those without attorneys and to make parents realize that their children are to be put first in any divorce.

This is a part of the court's broader effort to support self-represented litigants.
