Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López asserted that patriotic fervor, embodied in every man and woman of Venezuela who enlist to defend our sovereignty, has been reawakened.

During the 89th edition, President Nicolás Maduro spoke with General Padrino López about the military readiness campaigns that have been carried out throughout the country, for the security and defense of the country against threats from the U.S.

The Minister of Defense stated that "these have been days of popular effervescence, with patriotic fervor embodied in every man and woman of Venezuela," who have come out to answer the call in the Bolívar squares of the country, to fulfill the military enlistment .
