Starting on Tuesday, Aug. 26, a planned daytime full closure will be conducted on Highway 41 from Hwy. 46 East to Hwy. 33, according to CalTrans District 5.
The daytime closure, allowing for construction to continue in the Cholame area on the widening of Hwy. 46 East, will be in place from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day through Thursday, Aug. 28.
Travelers headed east on Hwy. 46 will detour using Hwy. 33 at Blackwells Corner, before reaching State Route 41 at Reef Station. Travelers headed south on State Route 41 will detour onto Hwy. 33 at Reef Station before connecting to Hwy. 46 East at the same location.
Delays are not expected to exceed 45 minutes.
The roadwork is necessary to allow the new Hwy. 46 East/Hwy. 41 Interchange to be connected.
