FITCHBURG, Wis. (WKOW) -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for a new playground at Stoner Prairie Park in Fitchburg.
The park is designed for multiple age groups to play together, host family gatherings and help grow the community. City leaders said they are excited to see it come to life.
"When I pulled up here today and saw the playground equipment just covered in kids enjoying it, it was really, really great to see. I'm so happy to see it already getting good use," said Chris Sina, Parks Commission chair.
The Parks Commission said this is just the beginning.
Leaders plan to continue working together to build a park system that reflects the needs and dreams of the community.
