The Pittsburgh Steelers have released linebacker Mark Robinson as part of their roster cuts on Monday, the team announced. It is a signal that seventh-round pick Carson Bruener is likely to make the team.
Robinson has been with the team since 2022 when they drafted him in the seventh-round. Coming out of Ole Miss, Robinson was a converted running back to linebacker, and was known for his reputation as a heat-seeking missile. That is exactly what he became with the Steelers.
He played in 38 games with the Steelers, amassing 45 total tackles and three forced fumbles. His most extended playing time came in 2023 when the Steelers suffered a rash of injuries that thrust Robinson into action.
