INDIANA — The Environmental Resilience Institute is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, September 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET to help Indiana communities manage the health risks associated with extreme heat. The session will highlight resources available to local governments to help them protect residents from heat-related emergencies.
The webinar will feature a new interactive heat dashboard that provides communities with data to better understand their specific heat risks. Attendees will also learn about the “Beat the Heat” program, a health and resilience initiative supported by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The program helps communities develop and implement effective strategies for managing heat risk.
