U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced the federal Department of Transportation (DOT) is retaking control of Washington D.C.’s historic Union Station.

Although DOT has owned Union Station since the 1980s, management control had been ceded to Amtrak and the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation.
