PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) - Despite living in the state of Washington, Carson Bruener grew up as big a Steelers fan as any kid.

"That was really my one and only NFL team like that was a fan of even being on the West Coast," the Steelers rookie linebacker said. "(I always looked) when is the Steelers playing? I got to watch this game. I don't care about really many other teams and all that."

One of the reasons Bruener rooted for the Steelers as a child is because his father, Mark, was a first-round pick by the team back in 1995. Fast forward 20 years, and Carson made Pittsburgh's initial 53-man roster as a rookie.

"Just being around the guys, T.J. Watt, Patrick Queen and all these guys, I almost grew up watching and almost idolizing in a way (is awesome)," Carson said. "(It
