PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A roofing supply company in Pawtucket is finally reopening its doors, nearly two years after its building was destroyed by a fire.

ABC Supply Co. Manager Jim Boudreau can still remember the moments his Thanksgiving holiday quickly turned into one of the worst days of his life.

“I was sitting at home, turkey in the oven, waiting for family to come over,” Boudreau recalled. “I got a call around two o’clock in the afternoon from the alarm company saying, ‘Your building’s on fire.’ I was taken aback by that.”

On Nov. 23, 2023, firefighters rushed to the commercial building on Beverage Hill Avenue to find flames tearing through the structure, with smoke billowing and visible for miles.
