LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – This week, Little Rock has become the national stage for a powerful conversation in keeping the dream of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr alive.
The city is hosting the first-ever National MLK Commissioners Legacy Conference—a historic milestone that has brought leaders, youth and changemakers from across the country to Arkansas for a multiday event focused on unity, service and tangible community empowerment.
At the heart of the conference, Vanessa Williams-Nash, CEO and Executive Director of the Conference of Black Mayors, delivered a resounding message: "We are our brother's keeper." Her call emphasized the need for grassroots community mapping, identifying local strengths and connecting with federal resources to address economic development, housing and educatio
