COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Sumter man was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges after a search warrant was executed at a Broad Street motel.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, their Narcotics Unit, along with the Sheriff’s Community Action Team (CAT), conducted the operation on Wednesday around noon at a room occupied by 26-year-old suspect Jaquez Tyree Kind.

Deputies said Kind was arrested and sent to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where he was charged with five offenses, including trafficking.

The sheriff’s office said Kind’s bonds were set at $75,000, but unresolved hold orders prevent his release.
