PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Summer warmth and higher humidity are expected to last through the end of August.
The unofficial end to summer is just around the corner and Portland will continue to soak up the sunshine and warmer weather. Afternoon highs are expected to warm into the low 90s with decreasing clouds on Thursday. Higher humidity values will remain as temperatures sit nearly 10 degrees warmer than average.
Wildfire smoke is expected to slowly clear from the Willamette Valley as air quality improves. The elevated risk of wildfires decreases as Oregon's thunderstorm potential does the same. A few lightning-producing storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening for central and eastern Oregon.
