MASSILLON ‒ A 53-year-old Lake Township woman died following a traffic crash on Finefrock Road SW on the morning of Aug. 27.

Dennie A. Rowland died after the collision that occurred just east of the Sixth Street SW intersection at 5:48 a.m.

A Massillon police report says Rowland was westbound on Finefrock when her red 2021 Honda Civic crossed the centerline, hitting a white 2019 Peterbuilt truck that was eastbound.

The Honda hit the truck at the driver's side wheel. The Honda spun away, crossing both westbound lanes before stopping in the berm area.

The truck continued eastbound with its driver's side wheel pinned and the passenger wheel broken off before coming to a stop.

A black 2018 Ford Explorer veered off to the right side of the roadway to avoid the accident and struck a sign.
