More than 600 counterfeit dolls which can pose a serious danger to children have been seized by a leading consumer watchdog.
Trading Standards officers have taken in almost 600 fake Labubu dolls.
In just two weeks, 42 premises from across South Lanarkshire were visited with a total of 588 dolls seized.
Laqbubu dolls are cheeky-looking, sharp-toothed plushies which can be fastened to upmarket designer handbags with ease and have been a big hit with kids this year.
Councillor Robert Brown, the chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee is warning people not to buy dangerous fakes.
He said: “We understand these dolls are a much sought after item. However, they pose a potential safety risk to young children.
“We strongly suggest you do not purchas
