The organization atTAck addiction held a pair of events on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day, the largest annual campaign to reduce overdose, and to remember those who have died from overdose.
atTAcK addiction is a grassroots, statewide, nonprofit founded by Don and Jeanne Keister who lost their adult son, Tyler, to an accidental overdose in 2012.
The group's New Castle County Chapter hosted a candlelight vigil on East Main Street in Newark in front of Old College at the University of Delaware, meanwhile, the Sussex County Chapter held an observance at The Circle in Georgetown.
