A man who was allegedly killed by his roommate at an assisted living facility in Miami's Flagami neighborhood was identified on Thursday, officials said.

According to the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner, the victim was identified as Robert Sadler.

The cause of his death was determined to be strangulation, officials said.

His roommate, 79-year-old Jerome John Babij, was charged with second-degree murder.

The incident happened on Tuesday after Miami Police arrived at a home in the 5100 block of Northwest 4th Terrace that serves as Princess Gardens Assisted Living Facility after officers received a call of two men who were engaged in a physical altercation.

According to an arrest report, Babij was seen by witnesses choking Sadler in their room.
