Fashion-inspired Soho private members club could see artists show off outfits then fit and sell them

A private members club where artists can flaunt their wares and sell them has applied to open in Soho .

The Lighthouse Soho promises to be "a beacon of creativity" and host retail events for artists working in textiles, fashion, accessories, ornaments and other creative fields, according to an application before Westminster City Council .

The club will include a small permanent area on the ground floor of the listed three-storey townhouse at 48 Berwick Street to showcase pieces from artists from around London and beyond.

Artists can then use one of the smaller upper rooms for measuring and fitting clothing commissioned and purchased on site. These exclusive viewings will only be available to club members.
