A person was being airlifted to a hospital after suffering a "traumatic injury" at a construction site in Bal Harbour on Thursday.

The injury happened at the Bal Harbour Shops in the area of Collins Avenue and 98th Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said they responded to a medical call there and found the person with a "traumatic injury."

Crews worked to remove the person from a confined space and were airlifting them to a local hospital, officials said.

No other information was immediately available.
