That boy is now 28 years old. His name is Allay Earhart.
Earhart, an artist who was just eight years old during Hurricane Katrina, remembers the harrowing experience of being carried by his father while confronting the National Guard in the storm's aftermath.
"I was getting super dehydrated because for several days I wasn't eating or drinking," Earhart said. "I just remember fainting. Passing out."
