ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Two brothers were arrested in connection with an armed robbery investigation in St. Francois County.

Deputies were called around 12:28 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, to an armed robbery report near 4600 Highway O in Farmington.

According to the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told deputies that he arranged to meet Wesley Mercer on social media when Wesley Mercer pulled out a gun, took his car keys and ran away.

The sheriff’s office said the deputies were able to identify Wesley Mercer from a profile photo and arrested him at his home near Highway D.

According to court documents, investigators found a handgun in a bag inside a camper on the property where Wesley Mercer lives.

The sheriff’s office said the victim’s keys were also recovered
