PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WBAY) - Formal criminal charges are now filed against a teacher from the Plymouth School District who is accused of sexually abusing a teenage student back in 2023.

Marcie Zimmerman was taken into custody Monday and is charged with Sexual Assault of a Student by School Staff, Sexual Intercourse with a Child, and Exposing a Child to Harmful Material.

The newly filed criminal complaint states the victim reported the sexual assault to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office back in late July. She stated she was a 17-year-old student at Plymouth High School in 2023 when it occurred.
