The Arboretum Park is set to be allocated a part of the funding for the introduction of new signage explaining the flora.
Green spaces, playgrounds and parks across the city are set to receive a programme of improvements by the city council after being awarded £765,000.
The funding provided by the East Midlands Combined Authority will see a range of different improvements at more than ten parks across Nottingham, including playground upgrades, paths and access improvements, a scheme for legacy tree planning and new signage at a city centre park.
Currently, the city council has earmarked at least ten parks for the funding. These improvements include:
Playground upgrades at Colwick Country Park, Ashton Park in Bulwell, Locksley Park in Clifton and Wallan Street Park in Radford.
