TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Jurors watched undercover video of a key restaurant meet-up and listened to a wave of wiretapped phone calls as a fifth day of testimony kicked off in Donna Adelson’s murder and conspiracy trial Thursday morning.

It’s been a long week for the jury of 12 plus two alternates. After star witnesses took the stand the first few days of testimony, the State is now working through a slog of technical testimony and evidence obtained undercover.

Despite the tediousness, the importance to the State’s case is clear. Prosecutors have long claimed that after an undercover agent approached Donna Adelson on the street outside her South Florida home, it kicked off a chain reaction of calls and meetings between the co-conspirators of Florida State Professor Dan Markel’s 2014
