PORTALES, N.M. (KRQE) – A woman turned herself in to the Portales Police Department after she brought a gun to Portales Junior High, according to the police department.
Officials said officers responded to the school on Friday after dispatch received a call about a lost or stolen fanny pack that had a gun inside it. The caller said she attended a volleyball tournament at Portales Junior High and either left or had her fanny pack stolen while she was in the bleachers, police said.
