HARRISBURG, MO — Among the many comments made at a town hall Wednesday night, Aug. 27, held by U.S. Rep Mark Alford, "Do your job as a check on President Donald Trump's continual power grabs" was a key takeaway.

At least 150 Boone County residents and even one Howard County resident turned out for Alford's 4th Congressional District town hall at the Harrisburg Lions Club building. Nearly all speakers questioned or expressed frustration with Alford and his staff for failing to listen to or represent all constituents. At least one supportive speaker was with the University of Missouri's College Republicans group.
