The president of Argentina is blaming a recent attack by protestors on the ideology of his predecessor and political adversary.

Argentinian President Javier Milei was pelted with rocks during a campaign stop on Wednesday during a campaign stop at the Lomas de Zamora district of Buenos Aires.

Rocks, bottles, and other projectiles were lobbed by the protestors as the president was greeting locals from the back of a pick-up truck.

Security was forced to cover the leader and whisk him away from the scene. He left the area without being harmed.

Milei later took to social media to blame the scuff-up on his rival, former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
