KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

The Kansas City Fire Department and other crews are investigating a roof collapse Thursday afternoon.

Reports came in around 12:30 p.m. about the possible collapse at 4835 Independence Ave. Advertisement

KCFD Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins told KMBC 9 on the scene that the roof fell into the interior of the building, causing several walls to become compromised. No one was hurt.

Hopkins also said it's a possibility that the rest of the building could collapse Thursday.

Hopkins said the collapse caused several walls to lean out and become compromised.
