PEORIA, Ill. – An investigation is underway after a man was shot Wednesday night in Peoria’s East Bluff.

Peoria Police responded after 12 shots were fired just after 11:00 P.M. in the area of Virginia and Atlantic.

Officers learned enroute that a 22-year-old male was found in front of a residence nearby on Prospect with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police currently have no suspects.
