Mesa police: Juvenile rehab employee arrested in connection with drug sales, child abuse

Mesa Police have arrested 39-year-old Ashley Lutton in connection with drug sales and child abuse involving a 17-year-old boy.

Lutton has been booked into jail for multiple felony crimes, including drug sales to minors, child abuse, and other related drug offenses.

On Aug. 22, just before 5:30 p.m., Mesa Police responded to an informational report involving Lutton, an employee at a juvenile inpatient drug rehabilitation facility. It was reported that Lutton offered to sell Adderall to a 17-year-old former patient who had recently been discharged.

The boy’s mother contacted the facility after discovering text messages between her son and Lutton. The texts showed Lutton offering Adderall for sale, arranging a meeting location, and even requesting fentanyl and OxyContin from the boy. Short
