It’s been two months since Mayor Peter Chirico talked about the integrity commissioner’s investigation into his personal spending on the corporate credit card. It was also one of the only opportunities the media had to ask him questions following his admission.

Local media finally got another chance to ask the mayor about the scandal on Thursday during a press conference regarding beam signing at the new twin-pad recreation centre located in the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.

Chirico was asked about the integrity commissioner’s investigation, but he declined to comment until that investigation is complete.
