KEMPTVILLE – The next phase of expansion for the Kemptville sewage treatment plant will be a bit easier on the pocketbook for the municipality of North Grenville.

In a media event on Thursday, Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark announced funding in the amount of $24,910,571 to be invested into the plant’s expansion.

“North Grenville is one of the fastest-growing communities in Eastern Ontario and I’m proud our government is making another investment to build the infrastructure needed to support that growth,” said Clark. “This funding unlocks more than 2,000 new homes, bringing in families to support local businesses and contribute to the social and cultural fabric of the community.”
