A dispute over a Union Jack flag displayed on a footbridge in south Manchester was captured on mobile phone video.

Recently, the grassroots 'Operation Raise The Colours' initiative has seen members of the public fasten Union Jacks or St George's flags to street fixtures like bridges or lamp-posts nationwide.
