WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) - Elected officials in Warrick County say claims that animal control is not funded are not true. That's in response to a social media post that accused the county council of taking away their budget. Warrick County Commissioner Sarah Millis-Seaton responded with a post of her own, which you can read in full below.

"I am disturbed with the misrepresentation of directive given to our Animal Control supervisor. There was never instruction given by the office of Commissioners or County Council that would deprive animals in its care of food, necessary vet care or clean keepings. It’s a fact that the County Council has been receptive to their needs and is working with us to appropriate funds for the remainder of this year and to develop an adequate budget for 2026. T
