DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys player Micah Parsons announced on Thursday that he has been traded to the Green Bay Packers.

A person with knowledge of the details said Parsons and the Packers have agreed on a record-setting $188 million, four-year contract that includes $136 million guaranteed. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade hasn’t been announced.

Parsons, a two-time All-Pro edge rusher, becomes the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

“This is a sad day, but not a bitter one,” Parsons posted on X. “I’ll never forget the joy of draft night, the adrenaline of running through the tunnel, or the brotherhood I shared with my teammates, coaches and the staff who prepared me for every game.”
