AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — There’s a precious new white-cheeked gibbon baby at the Akron Zoo, and thanks to a public contest and help from the family, the ape now has a new name.

That led to the top 2 vote getters of Leuco and Coda.
Thursday, the baby’s family picked between the top two names, with zoo employees putting the names on enrichment items and seeing which the gibbons chose first.
