ST. L, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A De Soto man was charged Saturday with several felony charges after investigators say he stole the car of a man who gave him a ride from Cape Girardeau.

Jefferson County Prosecutors charged Nathanial C. Wougamon with first-degree assault, vehicle hijacking with a deadly weapon, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. He is being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center without bond.

According to a police affidavit, Wougamon was at a White Castle in Cape Girardeau when he first approached the victim, a 60-year-old man, for money. Police say the victim gave Wougamon change, and he left the restaurant.
