BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M and UTSA football kick off their season this Saturday at 6 p.m. at Kyle Field.
This will be just the third time these two programs have met, but for UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor, he can’t even count the number of times he’s been to the venue.
“My brother was a GA there,” Traylor said. “He worked for RC, so I’d go up there and watch those guys a lot. All three of my kids graduated from A&M. Jordan actually played at A&M. I would hate to guess what that number is. It’s really, really high. So yeah, the Traylors and A&M, we go back a long, long time. Much respect for that place.“
Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is well aware of all the connections Traylor has to Aggieland.
