A British gran says her dream holiday turned into a nightmare after she lost her passport on a plane, leaving her locked in a Spanish cell for 22 hours and forced to fly home.
Pam Tweedale, 77, had landed in Madrid for what was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime with 13 family members. But after discovering her passport was missing, she was detained for nearly a full day and had no choice but to return to the UK, reports the Mirror.
Her daughter, Sharon Mann, 56, believes the passport slipped out of her mother’s bag after Pam put it under the seat during their Iberia Airlines flight from London Gatwick to Madrid-Barajas on August 16.
