ANN ARBOR – At Bryce Underwood’s signing day ceremony in December, media members mobbed the five-star quarterback as soon as he finished addressing the jam-packed cafeteria at Belleville High School.

The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 class choosing to stay home and play for Michigan provided a renewed sense of optimism for a Wolverines fanbase that watched the team’s offense sputter through the 2024 season with shoddy quarterback play.
