ROCHESTER, Minn.-The Rochester NAACP says the city of Rochester choice to pursue charges against Shiloh Hendrix are a good first step following a viral incident at Roy Sutherland Playground around 4 months ago.

Hendrix called a 5 year old disabled child the n-word for supposedly trying to steal her child's diaper bag, an incident that would become viral on social media when she was confronted by someone who was filming nearby.

At a press conference about the case on Thursday, Aug. 28, President Walé Elegbede, said even though the charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct wasn't what he had hoped for, it was good to see the city's attempt to hold Hendrix accountable.
