PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - On Thursday, the Pueblo County Board of Commissioners announced it has received the letter of resignation for Coroner Brian Cotter.
This resignation comes after 24 bodies, along with several containers of bones and ‘probable human tissue’ were found inside Davis Mortuary, owned by Cotter.
On Tuesday, the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder’s Office confirmed it had received a Notice of Intent to Circulate a Recall Petition regarding Cotter. The estimated cost of the recall election would have been $480,200.
