The Reform UK leader of a county council which has banned its councillors from speaking to journalists at a newspaper has said the party will not engage with 'any other media outlet' it considers to be 'consistently misrepresenting' its policies.
Councillor Mick Barton , leader of Nottinghamshire County Council, told his party’s 40 other councillors not to give interviews or send press releases to our sister site Nottinghamshire Live or its local democracy reporters (LDRs) earlier this week, and said the ban will only be lifted for emergencies, such as flooding.
