Emilie Kiser said one of the "hardest lessons" she has learned is that a permanent pool fence could have saved her 3-year-old son's life.
"It's something I will never overlook again," the Chandler-based social media influencer said on Aug. 28 in her first public statement since her son Trigg's drowning death in May.
"I take full accountability as Trigg's mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him," she wrote on TikTok and Instagram.
Trigg drowned in the Kisers' backyard pool on May 12. Emilie Kiser was out with friends at the time. Her husband, Brady Kiser , was home with Trigg and the couple's newborn son, Theodore. Trigg died in the hospital on May 18.
