MARION COUNTY, Ky. —

A Marion County firefighter who died in the line of duty will be laid to rest this weekend.

Raywick Fire Department Lt. Brian Hatt died at UofL Hospital on Monday.

Kentucky State Police said Hatt was responding to a call on Aug. 22 when his fire truck went off the side of Highway 527 and overturned.

Hatt was an Army veteran and served with the Raywick Fire Department for 12 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday and Saturday followed by the funeral.

Those services will be held at the Marion County events center in Lebanon.
