BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Innovation is on display at this year’s Oceans in Action event, a showcase of marine science and technology advancements from the Gulf Coast.

“We like to have academia, government, and industry all together so you can see the whole value chain, from research and innovation taking place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast all the way to real-world application,” said Katharine Weathers, Ocean in Action chairperson

Oceans in Action has been a tradition for South Mississippi’s blue economy over the past 12 years.

Multiple industries came together to discover the newest, cutting-edge advancements and what kind of partnerships can be made. These findings benefit both marine biology and national security.
