ERLANGER, Ky. —

A man who taught teamwork to high schoolers at a Northern Kentucky gym needed it to save his life after he collapsed unconscious onto the floor shortly after a session.

“You don’t know when it’s going to be your shot to score or make that play,” said Mike Walls. “You never know when it’s going to be your shot to save somebody’s life.”

Walls owns All Star Performance, the gym where Stevenson collapsed on July 31.

Only Walls and Stevenson were in the gym after a session training high school students.

“All the sudden, no warning signs - he grabbed his chest,” Walls said.
