The Dallas Wings are expected to keep forward Amy Okonkwo on another hardship contract ahead of Friday's matchup with the Atlanta Dream, according to a report from Dallas Hoops Journal . The move is necessary for a team stretched to the WNBA's eight-player minimum amid a wave of injuries.
Okonkwo, who joined the Wings last week, has quickly made her mark. In three games, she is averaging 11.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting 57.1% from the field. She scored a career-best 14 points in Wednesday's 101–95 loss to the Connecticut Sun, following a 12-point outing against Golden State and an eight-point debut against Seattle.
