N.C. State football wide receiver Noah Rogers exited the game against East Carolina on Thursday after taking a knee to his helmet at Carter-Finley Stadium.
Rogers caught a 10-yard pass for a first down early in the fourth quarter when a Pirate defender’s knee connected with his helmet. The redshirt sophomore from Raleigh was down for several minutes as trainers came to his aid. Rogers walked off the field without help, but went straight to the locker room for evaluation.
Rogers had two catches for 19 yards before exiting the game. N.C. State had a 24-14 lead against ECU with 14 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Quarterback CJ Bailey has accounted for two of the Wolfpack 's three touchdowns. Running back Hollywood Smothers extended N.C. State's lead early in the fourth quarter.
